Cute Creatures or Gross Creatures?

If anyone remember the episode "Partners in Crime" Anyway... I think it's either gross or crazy idea of using fat to create little creatures... Adipose? I have no idea.

I think in August release of action figure, there is Doctor with 5 Adipose but the rumor was it is limited. Is that fact? I have no idea.

Other thing is... I don't remember seeing him in red shoes in that episode... mmm... I swore it was white/grey shoes. I just checked some screen captures of that episode and there's Doctor running with white/grey shoes. Why is this image has red shoes???

In the package, I saw was white/grey shoes, not red. Ugh...

Did he has me killed?

I found this on eBay. I thought why not try to get it. Well, I do believe in past life/lives... I do believe that I died on Titanic. Anyway when that last episode (I think) of the season. Doctor's TARDIS has run-in with Titanic. I was like, "Oh, my god. He just killed me." (laughing) Until next episode, it was space cruise. He said, "What? What? What?" when seeing that buoy with name Titanic on it. I said same thing, "What? What? He killed me!"

Well, I thought if get this figure, it would remind me that he has me killed on Titanic (Just kidding but fun thought)

K9 Model

I found one online, of course, it's not mine but is smaller for 12 inches doll.

I just resized/enlarged it, hope it looks fine for 12 inches doll. It's just draft like a test sheet.

Take a look. I am not sure how it supposed to be measure but anyway, here's picture of Doctor doll with test K9 model.

Someday, I'll print it in color. Right now, it's just a "test drive"

K9 on right is the one I printed from online (depend which printer you are using that determined the size. I printed it from college into letter-size paper), K9 on left is the one I enlarge and printed (I printed it in paint program at college... it printed out 4 pages with bit white space "border" around it I think without border it may print on 2 pages but not sure). If you like to try to print the one I enlarged, drop me a note.

Dr Who Coat Process 2...

I cut out of the blue (navy) fabric for lining.
It's bit challenge to sew at lower sleeves as shown on right. It has to be done by hand, slowly.

Soon will work on the collar.

Dr Who Coat Process...

Sewing the sleeves wasn't easy because the edge pattern is curved. It can't be done with sewing machine... It has to be done by hand. Carefully align them together to get nice result. I struggled a bit with first (trying to figure out how to align it) then on second one is fine.

Thanks to my old trenchcoat. I did it with "slit" part (top) on the back of coat.

Not yet sew the end of the sleeve (near hands). I'm just adjust the length to see if it looked fine... same thing for the bottom of the coat... still work on that...

Patience, Queen Mallory, patience.

New Figures...

Today, I decided to visit one store... because it was only store that carries figures of the movie/TV/whateverso that are not sold in regular stores like Target, Toy'R'Us, Walmart... know what I mean.

I was there, hoping to buy the watch. I checked out the figures and found this one. I also bought one in spacesuit. Just in mood.

The last time I was there... there is no 12 inches Doctor figure. They still have same Martha and Cyberman since. There are some sets but I just do not want to have too many. So far I have three total... the first one I got was Doctor in trenchcoat with K-9.

Talk later!

Testing the pattern

I am working on pattern... using from other pattern. Did some change.

I copied pattern on plastic bag and then cut them out... I just cut back and front to see if I can get it on.

Like I said the figure is flexible. It went Matrix on me. Gee!

The pattern is fine so I mark to change few thing like reduce the width of waist. Marked on edge of the collar, and so on to make sure it look right. I am not sure of length of it... I just guess maybe 9 inches. From what I see in photos of Doctor Who. Maybe half inch more... mmm...

Here are photos of what I am doing with the pattern.

Doctor?

I dreamt of Doctor.

I actually smiled when I saw him.

I'm also feeling sad. Why did I see him? Curious.

Anyway, trying to create template of the tenchcoat is bit hard but I am getting it. Before I could cut the fabric. I will use old fabric or something as test to make sure it work.

The body of Doctor figure wasn't like Ken figure (Barbie's "boyfriend") When I carefully removed it from the package, the body is flexible that I almost can't keep it straight to stand. Golly! Also there is no "adjustable" for the shoes to stay on, bit loose. Bit strange to see shoe that big. What the heck is that? Its upper chest is bit big too as if he has "6-pack abs". Clothes on it are looking good but only thing is bothering me is size of pocket flip which looks bit big. Oh yes, hands are bit big too. Hmm...

My Doctor Who Figure

I got this. What I don't understand was the limitation of those Doctor Who stuffs. It was like chasing the white rabbit down the hole.

Most place I looked said "Sold Out." I had it from Canada.

What makes me buy it was I am going to build my own TARDIS. I thought why not use the figure to stand with it.

I like trenchcoat. Plan to make one for him. Mmmm... First see what fabrics I have left.
