Getting there... Scarf

My mom likes what I did with dog tag. She wanted me to make one with picture of grandchildren. I told her that I do have one dog tag around my home I can use that for her. I'm sure she would be happy.

As for the knitting. I can tell my scarf looked like 4th Doctor's. Only thing is not match is green yarn because I can't find one in that thick/size of yarn in olive so I use different green. I remember something in doctorwhoscraf.com, he said something about one brown (I think) that to use it for brown and olive sections. Olive is sort of mixed of green and brown. Anyway. I'm getting there soon. I'm glad that I'm almost done with it. My god!

My next plan would be build K-9 robotic dog and also mini scarf for 12 inches doll. I'm sure doll scarf is swift than regular one. Trust me. I printed out K-9 plan but found out it was measured bit larger by mistake. Ooops. I'm gonna fix the measurement and will print soon. It will be just "shell" with no motor part, will use foam core board. I do not want tech just yet.

If I succeed with mini scarf. I could post the knit plan if wish to do one yourself. Drop me a note.

Halloween or Bust...

As some of you notice my knitting list on right side of the blog... that green section is on hold. This picture I took because I wanted to show you how far I went.

Some of you may have visited http://www.doctorwhoscarf.com/ the guy updated his page because he found different yarn. I did look there and it is not same info as I got before he changed it. I am lucky that I saved/printed them out before that happened.

Anyhow... I hope I can finish before Halloween.

I hope to go to Joann soon too... to find alternative fabric for Doctor Who clothes... mmm... I could easily dress as 4th Doctor instead of 10th Doctor unless I find the right fabric. I have seen online that someone selling 10th Doctor clothes but the cost is.... ugh... and cost of shipping... ugh... but again to measure my body to give them... I don't know how. I afriad if I measure wrong then end up not able to wear it. Not worth for me. I just simple follow my clothes as pattern. Better than sorry. I wore pant, vest, shirt, blazer before for Halloween. Only one is no longer with me is pant. Today, on Main St. thrift store have some stuffs to giveaway for free. I came across one pant.. interesting enough... was a grey with white pinstripe. I also found a bunch of Chinese clothes for kids too. I saved them for kids to play dress up or Halloween.

I took this picture to show you the color I picked for this one.

I wish I can knitting all day but I can't because of my hands... they do get hurt. So I knitted some each day.

About my knitting...

Before I go to bed, I just checked out the site of Doctor Who Scarf... he has updated the information on yarns.

Well, for me. I enjoy doing crafts like try to knit Doctor's scarf, "Harry Potter" wands (I only made several wands, none related to any character except Snape's), sew costumes.... Only one thing I am using less cost materials because often time they didn't stay around for me. For that reason, I don't want to risk costly material for that then get crazy or something. What I mean was that I may lose interest in them rather than being a collector. I sold some of my collections on Ebay, it was because I have lost interest plus other reason is that there is no room. I also do not want to have my future children accidently opened them or demage them then it would be loss of money for me.

Anyway, I use acrylic yarns... not wool. But as I did looked around the store... some colors are impossible to find. What's the point? So I had to research more on different yarns... rather than order from online or drive far. What's the point? I know some people like wool or like it to be "exact"- Fine. That's their choices not mine.

Very interesting that when I am trying to find that color olive. I only found one out of hundreds in store. What the heck? That is impossible. Forget it. I took the most close enough to match except olive. I am stuck because of that olive one's size is different than other that I got (sport worsted) It would be weird to find some sections of it thinner than other... forget it. I took a pick of green whatever that is and get over with. I am not picky.

Of course I wish them to have more various colors. But theirs tend to be limited, hmpf!

Don't worry, when I done some knitting and preview before completed it... I will post the list of colors I used for this one. All right? Of course, photo will be included.

Good night!

Try out a knit of Doctor Who Scarf

Here's my picture of my knitting process... I found an instruction on Doctor Who Scarf... Of course there is some problem on finding the matching colors. It wasn't easy but I picked them anyway to the best of my able.

I doubt I would finish in short time, in my past experiences, I knitted Harry Potter scarf for about 4 months! Due to busy and all... do you think?... so here's idea- just post my process to see how long I have done so far... agreed?
